Apply for a grant

We may not be able to help everyone but if you are living in England, aged between 15-40 and are currently receiving or recovering from treatment for a cancer diagnosis you may be eligible for a grant to help you and your family.

Before applying please read the full criteria below.

The Criteria

The Foundation will consider individuals living in England between the ages of 15-40, who have been diagnosed with cancer and are either currently receiving treatment or are recovering following treatment. In order to verify diagnoses, these individuals will be known to other organisations such as hospitals, hospices, respite centres and other charities.

Individuals will need to provide full details as to what the grant is required for. We provide grants towards activities that individuals can do to make precious memories with friends and family. The Foundation will consider applications for a multitude of uses including but not limited to; stays at Reece’s Retreat and any connected requirements such as travel, days out such as concerts, cinema trips, zoo visits or sporting events.

Unfortunately, we cannot consider grants for cost of living expenses and medical equipment.

No limitation will be put on the value of grants applied for, but The Foundation reserve the right to make a grant for a proportion of the total amount applied for rather than the whole cost.

The Foundation will work in conjunction with other organisations such as Young Lives Vs Cancer, Make a Wish, J’s Hospice and other charities and hospice networks who have identified individuals who need help through grant funding.

All grant applications received by The Foundation will come before the board of Trustees who will consider each application on its merits, determining foremost that the individual meets the agreed criteria. Once it is confirmed that all the agreed criteria is met, the Trustees will discuss the application before them and consider the application in detail, requesting clarification on any points they are unsure of.

The Foundation will only consider grant applications that can be funded by its annual income, no borrowing will be undertaken by The Foundation and some applications may be held over until a new financial year, if deemed necessary.

Each application will be dealt with in order of receipt and no preference will be given to any individual.
